My name is Trehanna Cyriese, and I am pleased to welcome you to my blog! Elegantly Poised Living is a haven for the modern woman who appreciates the timeless allure of femininity, elegance, and charm, the richness of tradition, the beauty of art, the depths of literature, the simple pleasures of tea time, the art of graceful living, and the joys of motherhood and homeschooling. I am a proud mother of four—two boys and two girls. I also have a younger brother. In a world that often moves at a frantic pace, embracing elegance is an intentional choice, from cultivating an elegant wardrobe and home to exuding poise in our daily interactions and teaching younger ones to do the same.
As someone who also has Spastic Cerebral Palsy, I can concur with Sarah Cauley, a woman who was featured in an article some years ago discussing her dreams of dancing and who also has Spastic Cerebral Palsy, stating that the words graceful and cerebral palsy are not typically used in the same sentence. Unless you are a parent who has a child who has the condition, it is not typical that people consider the fact that many people who have cerebral palsy or some other disability that others consider severe are also spouses, parents, and even homeschoolers.
